2012 All Dangerfield Team
"I could tell my parents hated me. My bath toys were a toaster and a radio."
-Rodney Dangerfield 1921 - 2004
I miss Rodney Dangerfield, he was a classic. For those of you who may not be familiar with the great comedian, the theme of his act was “I don’t get no respect”. The theme goes well with this column seeing how it is a list of players who ‘don’t get no respect’ from fantasy league owners. I’m going to endeavor to put together a fantasy team, the All Dangerfield Team, of players who I feel are being drafted later than they should be and therefore represent ADP value for your draft. The following players currently have an ADP after the tenth round in standard leagues.

It’s hard to believe that Joe Flacco has already played four seasons in the National Football League. And despite helping the Baltimore Ravens to two AFC Championship games, he has never really been considered one of the league’s elite quarterbacks. Many people have been waiting for him to have that breakout season that would justify making him a top fantasy pick. Unfortunately we are still waiting. The skills are certainly there so it is a little perplexing that he continues to be average by quarterback standards. He does a lot of things well and then some not so well. Let’s see if we can figure out the riddle that is Joe Flacco.

Dancing with Shane Vereen
Much like Mike Shanahan, Bill Belichick has gained the reputation that he is no friend to fantasy league owners when it comes to the running back position. But while Shanny seems to mess with his running game by switching successful RB’s for no apparent reason, I believe in Belichick’s case he simply has not had a back that he believes can do the job. I may be in the minority but I think Belichick will follow the stud running back approach once he finds someone he has confidence in.

Case for the Defense - Rey Maualuga
IDP leagues are getting more popular every year and it's easy for me to understand why. We hardcore fantasy leaguers love to expand the complexity once the capability of the software and web sites running our leagues make it easy to set up and track. Why have 14 player teams when you can have a 30 player team? And we love something new. Going from tracking and ranking the passers, rushers and receivers to doing the same for the tacklers, sackers and interceptors is challenging and simply more fun. In this article I'll provide a write up and projection for a young middle linebacker for the Bengals who I think is poised for a break out season, Rey Maualuga.
