The Week 6 Injury Cavalcade


Alas, injuries are an unfortunate part of football, and they do tend to have an impact on our pretend game. Here are some notable injury updates, and how they may affect your decision making process this week.




Blaine Gabbert (JAX): Out

Blaine injured his hamstring against the Rams and could be out for a while. Please just back away slowly from this scene.


Colin Kaepernick (SF): Probable

Colin has a mild foot thing, but has practiced in full this week and should be good to go on Sunday.


E.J. Manuel (BUF): Out

Manuel is out indefinitely with a knee injury.


Christian Ponder (MIN): Questionable

Ponder has practiced some this week with the broken rib, but his status is unclear at the moment in an extremely muddled QB situation.


Michael Vick (PHI): Questionable

Vick injured his hamstring in New York and has been limited in practice this week. His status is somewhat murky at this time.


Running Backs:


Brandon Bolden (NE): Questionable

Bolden has been limited this week with a knee thing, but he did play last week and should be okay for Sunday.


Ahmad Bradshaw (IND): IR

Bradshaw will miss the rest of the season with a neck injury.


Jamaal Charles (KC): Questionable

Jamaal is still dealing with blisters on his feet, and did not practice Wednesday. However, he was excellent last week and will be again on Sunday.


Arian Foster (HOU): Questionable

Foster has been limited this week with a variety of ailments, but he has played through them all season, and will again on Sunday.


Chris Ivory (NYJ): Questionable

Ivory still has the hamstring issue, but did play Monday night and should suit up again this week.


Rashad Jennings (OAK): Questionable

Rashad has a hamstring strain, but did practice some on Wednesday. Could go either way.


Ryan Mathews (SD): Questionable

Mathews was concussed in Oakland and will more than likely miss Monday night.


Darren McFadden (OAK): Questionable

McFadden did not play on Sunday due to the hamstring, and is not looking good for this week.


Alfred Morris (WAS): Probable

Morris bruised his ribs before the bye, but has practiced this week and should be fine for Sunday.


Stevan Ridley (NE): Questionable

Ridley did not play Sunday due to a thigh bruise, but did practice some on Wednesday, and could play this week.


C.J. Spiller (BUF): Questionable

Spiller is still somewhat hindered by the ankle, but he did play last week, and should be good for Sunday.


Zac Stacy (STL): Questionable

Stacy missed practice Wednesday with sore ribs, and is currently questionable for Sunday.


James Starks (GB): Out

Starks has been ruled out again for Sunday with a knee injury.


David Wilson (NY): Out

Wilson injured his neck Sunday, and will not play on Thursday night.


Wide Receivers:

Danny Amendola (NE): Questionable

Amendola returned this past Sunday, and is still limited with the groin, but should play again this week.


Miles Austin (DAL): Probable

Austin still has the hamstring issue, but is practicing, and may play this week.


Donnie Avery (KC): Questionable

Donnie has a bruised shoulder, and has been limited in practice, but will very likely play this week.


Marlon Brown (BAL): Questionable

The rookie is dealing with a hamstring injury, and was limited in practice on Wednesday. His status is uncertain for now.


Santonio Holmes (NYJ): Doubtful

Holmes is still dealing with the hamstring issue, and will likely miss at least one more game, perhaps more.


Andre Johnson (HOU): Questionable

Andre has a shin problem, and did miss practice Wednesday, but should be all good for Sunday.


Calvin Johnson (DET): Questionable

Calvin actually missed Sunday with the knee, and is still limited. His status is frustratingly unclear. Stay tuned.


Steve Johnson (BUF): Questionable

Johnson now has a back issue, and his status is unclear at the moment.


Jacoby Jones (BAL): Questionable

Jones is back from his sprained MCL, and has a slight chance of playing on Sunday.


Julio Jones (ATL): Out

Julio sustained a foot fracture on Monday night and is lost for the season. Huge blow for all concerned.


Lance Moore (NO): Questionable

Lance missed another game with the hand injury and has not practiced yet this week, which does not bode well for Sunday.


Cecil Shorts (JAX): Questionable

Cecil was limited at practice Wednesday due to a lingering groin issue, but he played through it last week, and should again this Sunday.


Tight Ends:


Martellus Bennett (CHI): Questionable

Bennett played this past Sunday, but now has a knee issue, and is questionable for Thursday night.


Owen Daniels (HOU): Out

Daniels has broken his fibula, and will be out until December.


Rob Gronkowski (NE): Questionable

Gronk still has the back and forearm thing happening, but is getting closer to a return, which could occur as early as this week.


Marcedes Lewis (JAX): Questionable

Lewis is still dealing with a calf injury, and is currently not likely to play this week.


Zach Miller (SEA): Questionable

Miller is dealing with a hamstring issue, and looks to be a game-time decision for Sunday. Good times.


Brandon Myers (NY): Questionable

Myers has an ankle ailment, and has been limited in practice this week. Coin toss.


Greg Olsen (CAR): Questionable

Olsen has a foot issue, and missed practice Wednesday, but insists he will play on Sunday. We shall see.


Logan Paulsen (WAS): Questionable

Logan has a knee sprain, but has practiced some this week. His status is unclear.


Jordan Reed (WAS): Questionable

Reed has practiced in full this week with the thigh issue, and should be good to go for Sunday.


Tony Scheffler (DET): Questionable

Tony has been concussed, and will probably not suit up this week.




Kai Forbath (WAS): Probable

Forbath has practiced this week with the groin issue and should play on Sunday.


Dustin Hopkins (BUF): IR

Hopkins is officially done for the season with a groin injury.
